Unable to Access the Root Folder in FileZilla

By Admin

Share via:

Typically, opening the root folder (wwwroot) via FTP can be challenging. You may encounter an issue where the folder fails to open, even though you receive a complete message (usually when using FileZilla or another FTP client). In such a situation, you won’t be able to transfer or manage files, which is essential for your blog or website’s operation.

However, you can easily resolve this problem by adjusting the FTP settings using the following steps:

(1) Launch FileZilla.

(2) Go to File | Site Manager.

(3) Select your website name from the “My Sites” section.

(4) Navigate to the “Transfer Settings” tab. By default, the mode is set to “Default.” Change it to “Active.”

(5) Click the “Connect” button.

After establishing a connection, you should be able to access the contents of the root folder (wwwroot).
